DESCRIPTION:This Sundays route.\nA 6+ mile walk over to Nant Y Ffrith to their waterfalls and then off to the trig point and back to the pub.\n6+ miles\, but quite a bit of climbing in this walk. The path to the waterfalls is not the best\, this little bit is a back and too though\, so if your unsure of that part you can wait for us to gaze at the waterfalls and we’ll collect you on our return.\nUp to the trig point is also a very steep\, rocky and rooty path. DESCRIPTION:Bike Ride – Meet The Producers – Seasoned Pioneers\noin us as we meet another producer and where it all started for Mark.\nOur ride takes us on some of the Sustrans cycle ways\, including an old railway line to our first café stop. Through some quiet villages all the way to Seasoned Pioneers in Bromborough.\nThe ride is just shy of 62 miles and will have up to 2 café stops. I’m suggesting we meet at 8.30am start at 8.45am as the ride itself can take up to 5 hrs (not including the café stops and the tour of Seasoned Pioneers)\, so I anticipate us being out for 6-7 hours.\nThe route card is in the files section along with the GPS. Note there is small section of the route that is on an old railway track and can be muddy (hopefully it will still be dry)\, it is doable on a road bike but care needs to be taken. DESCRIPTION:Ride out to Nets Cafe\nWe’re going to be heading out to Net’s Café on what will be mostly cycle paths and country lanes. Our ride is a little under 48 miles and there is some climbing back into the village but on a whole it’s mostly flat.\nThis is a lovely route\, that goes along the river dee over to Burton Marsh and includes a short ride along the canal and around the racecourse in Chester.\nWe will meet at 8.45am and leave at 9.00am\, it should take about 4hrs to do the ride including the stop at Net’s (but could be longer depending on how many stops we do). DESCRIPTION:Wings For Life\nWe hope that will join us on this worldwide event called Wings For Life.At the Wings for Life World Run\, everyone starts at the same time\, worldwide. Professional athletes\, fun runners and total beginners are all in it together against the Catcher Car. The moving finish line\, the Catcher Car begins its pursuit 30 minutes after the start\, passing runners and wheelchair users one after the other until the race is over. The best bit? 100% of all entry fees and donations goes directly to spinal cord research to find a cure for spinal cord injury.\nThe Wings for Life World Run is different. It’s not like other races. Everyone across the planet starts their race at exactly the same time: 11:00 am UTC. That means participants in the UK start at 12:00 pm\, in Germany at 1:00 pm\, in Florida at 7:00 am and so on… There is no finish line. There is a (Virtual) Catcher Car that begins its chase 30 minutes after the start signal. Fun runners\, for example\, make it to kilometer 5. Professional athletes power on to over 60 km. Do you have a goal in mind?\n‘Spicy’ Mark shown us this event and took part in it every year in his wheel chair\, so there is no excuse for you not to do it.\nLike last year we want everyone to start up Hope Mountain with us\, run or walk down to Llanfynydd\, then see how far you can keep going until the virtual catcher car catches you\, for those more able we intend to run to Ffrith Hall\, back to Llanfnydd and beyond to and along the railway line. DESCRIPTION:Walk – Nant y Ffrith Wedding Caves & Waterfalls\nThis is our long walk for the month\, a 7.27 mile walk through fields\, forests\, streams\, waterfalls and caves!!A fair few people have asked us when we do our waterfall walk if we can go to the caves as well so here we go.This walk will take us to the wedding caves ontop of the waterfalls\, which we will also visit. This is quite a challenging walk in itself plus with the added spice of cave exploration.You will need a head torch for this walk and suitable footware. The cave is really one big open space with only one way in and one way out so you can’t really get lost in there\, but can be confined in some places. I would recommend not to bring dogs on this walk\, the dogs I’ve owned have never liked caves plus there might be some bats in there that we don’t want to disturb. You can always come along with the walk and wait outside the caves if you don’t want to go in them. It’s 23.43 miles with 311m of climbing. DESCRIPTION:Road Bike Ride – The 3 Llans\nDare we say the weather will have improved for our first road bike ride of the year??\nWe’ll start off with our easiest road bike route The 3 Llans.\nWe’ll meet at the pub car park at 9:15am and will be starting our route at 9:30am.\nThis will be a 20 mile route with 375 metres of elevation.\nIf you want to find out more about the route take a look through our route cards in the files section on our group page and look for ‘The 3 Llans’ here you will find a detailed description of the route\, elevation chart\, arial view and a gps download.\nYou won’t be able to park at the school I’m afraid\, but you can park in the church carpark just up the road from the pub\, or you can park in front of the school or in the layby near the MOT garage. DESCRIPTION:Road Cycling – Meet The Producers \n***Please note we are meeting at 8:30am for this one***\nWhy is our name ‘Spicy Socials’? Because of Mark of course aka ‘Spicy Mark’ Why Spicy Mark? Because of Seasoned Pioneers of course.\n\nJoin us as we meet another producer and find out why we name our group the ‘Spicy Socials’\nOur ride takes us on some of the Sustrans cycle ways\, including an old railway line to our first café stop. Through some quiet villages all the way to Seasoned Pioneers in Bromborough.\nThe ride is just shy of 62 miles and will have up to 2 café stops. This will be our last long road ride of the year and with that in mind I’m suggesting we meet at 8.15am start at 8.30am as the ride itself can take up to 5 hrs (not including the café stops and the tour of Seasoned Pioneers)\, so I anticipate us being out for 6-7 hours.\nThe route card is now in the files section along with the GPS. Note there is small section of the route that is on an old railway track and can be muddy\, it is doable on a road bike but care needs to be taken. But on a whole most of the ride is paved.
